Malta International Jazz Festival 2020

The Malta International Jazz Festival is undoubtedly one of the more eclectic musical celebrations on the local cultural calendar.Bringing together some of the best Maltese and international artists, this event promises to thrill its audience with contemporary jazz styles that are currently dominating the musical scene. Each year, the festival brings a variety of world-renowned artists to perform in the capital city, with previous editions having hosted world-class performers such as Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker and Brad Mehldau. With a variety of gripping main sets and fringe events staged under Malta’s starry summer sky, the Malta International Jazz Festival has become a staple favourite on the local cultural calendar.

The VALLETTA CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE ‘s theme is ART MEETS ART and therefore an Art Exhibition showing works by eight Maltese Artists mostly depicting scenes of Valletta and Classic Cars, is being held between Saturday 23rd May 2020 and Sunday 31st May 2020 at St Domenic Hall, Kings Own Club, Republic Street in Valletta.

APS Summer Festival

The APS Summer Festival presents 4 weeks of cultural activities staged along the Valletta Waterfront. Held alfresco under the stars, with historic fortifications and the sea as a backdrop, the evocative venue offers a unique location for re-introducing live events in Malta. 

Featuring an eclectic choice of styles, artists include Red Electrick, Nadine Axisa, Studio 18 and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra together with emerging local talent and the Malta Youth Orchestra. These Live Music Weekends are complemented with outdoor cinema nights, dance, comedy and poetry acts. 

The APS Summer Festival is produced by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra and the Valletta Cruise Port and supported by the Malta Tourism Authority, StudioSeven, Embassy Cinemas and Island Insurance Brokers.
